I Got Into Perplexity Business Fellowship. Now What?
Breaking down why I applied, what I hope to learn, and whether it’s worth the hype.
And today, I got an email I got in.
I saw this post by Aravind Srinivas and thought, I should apply. So, I did.
Tomorrow is the last day to apply. If you're interested, here’s the link: https://lnkd.in/g-56ZRXf.
Now, I’m not one to chase titles. Business Fellow sounds fancy, but what does it actually mean? Does it change anything? Will it make me better at what I do?
And Reddit, being Reddit... called it a hype marketing tactic. But is it? Is it not? Time will tell. Either way, I’ll be documenting my journey here.
Why I Even Applied
We’re living in the middle of an AI tsunami except most of us are just standing on the shore, watching.
ChatGPT, Midjourney, Cursor AI, Perplexity AI……..these tools are everywhere.
They’re changing how we search, work, and even think.
But being a consumer of AI is easy.
Figuring out how to use it to build something meaningful? That’s the real challenge.
I don’t want to be a spectator in this shift. I want to drive it…….., especially in how businesses adopt AI. And that’s why this fellowship caught my eye.
Unlike most AI programs that are hyper-technical, this one isn’t for engineers. It’s for people like me………who work in product, growth, and business strategy but want to integrate AI meaningfully into their work.
So, I took a shot. And now here we are.
But Let’s Be Real - Will This Be Useful?
That’s the big question.
I’m not expecting some overnight transformation. No fellowship is a silver bullet. But what I am hoping for is:
A clearer mental model of how AI fits into decision-making. AI is no longer a future thing it’s happening now. I need to be sharper at spotting opportunities where AI can create leverage.
A stronger network of like-minded people who are also figuring out how to navigate this AI-driven world. Sometimes, the biggest value isn’t in the lessons it’s in the people you meet along the way.
A chance to test ideas with AI in real scenarios not just in theory, but inside actual business workflows.
What I’ll Be Sharing
I don’t want this to be one of those “I got into this cool thing, look at me!” posts.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be documenting my learnings here—not in a polished, PR-friendly way, but in a real, no-BS, “here’s what matters” kind of way.
If you’re someone who:
Feels like AI is moving too fast to keep up
Wants to understand AI from a business-first perspective
Is curious about the real, practical impact of AI on work and decision-making
Then stick around.
Because AI is eating the world. And I’d rather be at the table than on the menu.
I got accepted too, lets work together? Would be great to make Indian community group leveraging enterprise plan to build something.
Now more than halfway through it. Thoughts?
